In consideration of customers safety, Hualien Ocean Park and Farglory Hotel have invested million NT dollars in antiskid treatment on all floor surfaces

Far Glory Group has invested close to a hundred NT dollars in antiskid technology project on slippery floors of Hualien Ocean Park and Farglory Hotel, two of its main affiliated enterprises. Such effect of implementing the slogan of customer first, safety first will not only prevent many unnecessary disputes over slips and falls, but it will surely win the reliance and acclaim by customers, thereby demonstrating their standards and wisdom as business operators of five-star international tourist hotels.
The antiskid project in Ocean Park has been completed, from its entrance to the first and third floor stairs, dolphin feeding area and dodgem boat area. Work is also completed at the entrance of swimming pool, surrounding corridors of swimming pool and presidential suites in Farglory Hotel. Far Glory Group is quite satisfied with the antiskid effects. The next job will be contracting of the project in all guestroom bathrooms of Farglory Hotel, vestibules, corridors and outside paths of swimming pool, and mens and ladies toilet rooms. They expect 100% full-scale antiskid performance.
The project shall be undertaken by Sindiatai Company, the general agency of American Solomon Skid-Proof Technology in Taiwan area. As indicated by Lai Hung-Cheng, the authorized representative of the company, all advanced countries have placed much emphasis on the requirement of safety protection facilities to consumers. In each case of such disputes, the business owner would have to pay a huge sum of money to the injured consumer, and accept legal punishment. In recent years, because of rising consumer awareness, and the protective attitude of the Consumer Foundation, many business owners have been heavily penalized in similar disputes where consumers are injured by improper equipment of facilities.
According to Lai Hung-Cheng, it is stipulated in Chapter 10 of Architectural Design and Working, in the Regulations of Architectural Technology promulgated by the Ministry of the Interior, that the stairways, bathrooms and toilet rooms in public places must be installed with antiskid strips or made of antiskid materials, so as to maintain the safety of disabled persons. As shown in many cases of slip-and-fall accidents and regulations, antiskid treatment is an imperative job at public places. Such a large-scale antiskid project contracted by Far Glory Group after careful considerations will not only demonstrate the standards and farsightedness of business operators in international proportions, it will surely win the confidence and esteem from consumers.
